Detroit Michigan is the biggest city in the U.S. federal state of Michigan. It has the population of 680,000 people and it is an important industrial, business, transportation and cultural center of the region, America and the world. It is the biggest port on the Detroit River and one of the major cities on the US-Canadian border. The city was founded in the very beginning of the 18th century by a French explorer and a party of settlers who accompanied him. The Henry Ford center is newly opened one of the largest museum complexes in America and features exhibits on the theme of Detroit and America's history. The Eastern market is another interesting thing to see when in Detroit. It is the largest open-air market in United States; with over 250 merchants selling fruits, vegetables, food, flowers. Every Sunday it turns to a buzzing place where thousands of people come to enjoy and experience its vibrant atmosphere and fresh and healthy goods.
